The operating layer for a five trillion dollar asset class is being built now.

Intellectual property is the largest under-monetised asset class in the developed economies. PatentOS is the operating system for it. Tokyo headquartered, attorney informed, agent native. Preparing a private round to fund global expansion.

Thesis

Why now is the only time this gets built.

01

Model capability crossed the bar.

As of 2025, frontier models can read claims, map evidence, and assemble damages analysis at a quality a senior attorney will sign off on. Not before, not in 2027 as a marginal upgrade. The window opened.

02

Asia IP arbitrage is real.

Japan and Korea hold the world's most under-monetised patent portfolios. North American tooling treats Japanese filings as a translation problem. We treat them as first-class. The arbitrage is structural, not temporary.

03

The operating system has not been built.

Competitors ship point tools: claim charts, search, prosecution. None ships the full revenue motion under one workspace with counsel-ready review paths. The operating layer is the moat. Whoever builds it wins the category.

Market

The category we are building inside.

$5T+

Global intangible asset value

$180B

Annual global IP services spend

12M+

Granted patents worldwide

JP #3

Largest patent jurisdiction, underserved

Most of this value remains unpriced. The work to activate it is structurally manual: read claims, map products, estimate exposure, draft letters. Each step takes hours from people who cost hundreds of dollars an hour. PatentOS compresses the loop and routes judgment calls to counsel when they matter.

Positioning

Head to head with the global field.

vs Patlytics

Coverage and Japanese fluency.

Patlytics focuses on US claim charts. PatentOS covers JP and US natively across the full revenue motion: Detect, Value, Defend, and Market.

vs Stilta

Operating system, not a vertical wrapper.

Stilta centers attorney drafting. PatentOS centers the OS layer: discovery, valuation, evidence, review, and commercial action in one workspace. Counsel review is a route in the system, not the whole product.

vs DeepIP

Beyond prosecution drafting.

DeepIP automates patent drafting. PatentOS handles the entire post-grant motion: detection, valuation, enforcement, monetization. The two are complementary, not overlapping.

vs incumbents

Built around the workflow, not bolted onto it.

Legacy IP software was built before council-based AI workflows were viable. Layering AI onto twenty-year-old workflows produces marginal gains. PatentOS rebuilds the workflow around evidence, dissent, and review from the first commit.

Traction

Where we are.

Customer

Active POC on real portfolios.

Private POC work runs on IP Rich's manual workflow, automating infringement detection, value estimation, and review packet assembly on real portfolios.

Product

Detect and Value are active.

PatentOS Detect and PatentOS Value anchor the current POC. Defend and Market organize the next module layers: litigation packets, licensing, monitoring, and transaction workflow.

Team

Six founders, three of them benrishi.

Three bar-admitted patent attorneys. AI engineering led by a CyberAgent veteran and OpenSTF creator. Tokyo headquartered with international advisor network.

Capital

¥105.4M capitalised, raising now.

IP Rich is profitable and capitalised. Private round opening to fund US expansion, module depth, and enterprise deployment. Targeting strategic acquirers and patent-savvy VCs.
